Jamuna Vijayaratnam is an Intake Coordinator and Administrative Assistant at Integrative Psychology Center. Jamuna brings over 4 years of valuable healthcare experience working directly with diverse patients, enabling her to provide compassionate and culturally sensitive support to individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
Jamuna’s personal experience as a racialized person has given her a unique perspective on the importance of creating a culturally inclusive and anti-oppressive practice. She understands that systemic inequality and discrimination can have a profound impact on the mental health and well-being of marginalized individuals and communities.
Throughout her career, Jamuna has made it her mission to advocate for patients from diverse backgrounds and to ensure that their needs are met with sensitivity and understanding. Her personal experience has fueled her passion for creating an environment where patients feel heard, respected and empowered to take control of their healthcare journey.
