Intake Coordinator & Administrative Assistant
Shanecia Elias is an intake coordinator and administrative assistant at Integrative Psychology Centre. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Trent University and is passionate about empowering individuals and communities through social justice advocacy. She is an aspiring clinician and is committed to providing excellent, client-centered, anti-oppressive care in each of her client interactions.
Shanecia bring her warmth and client-centered value system to her work at Integrative Psychology Centre. She is dedicated to supporting wellness, youth advocacy and anti-oppressive work specifically in under-represented populations.
In Shanecia’s previous role as a Career Peer and Equity Student Assistant at Trent University, she assisted with the development of programming and resources related to the experiences of Indigenous, First Generation, rural, racialized, and 2SLGBTQIA+ students and students with disabilities. She also worked as a Black Student Support Facilitator at Trent University, where she worked closely with students to provide targeted resources and supports. Through her work at Trent University, Shanecia gained valuable experience in group facilitation, community resource support, and outreach.
Shanecia intends to continue to nurture her passion for social justice advocacy and wellness at Integrative Psychology Centre by working together with individuals and in community to promote change, foster resilience, and provide a safe, welcoming environment for all.
