Experience The Freedom of Inner Peace
We provide holistic, culturally-safe and inclusive psychotherapy services.
At Integrative Psychology Centre, we are:
Holistic
We honour the mind-body connection and believe that the wellness of each individual is intimately connected to the wellness of the systems they are a part of: Wellness of the family, culture, spirit and earth. Each individual exists within a broader context and we take the time to understand all of what makes you uniquely you. We invite you to bring all parts of you to therapy.
Culturally-Safe & Inclusive
We honor and celebrate your unique intersection of identities. We understand that members of historically marginalized groups have been navigating broken systems for generations and acknowledge the traumatic impact of those broken systems. If you want to unpack the impacts of experiences of racism, sexism, ageism, homophobia, classism, ableism and xenophobia, we are here.
Integrative
Our mission is to help clients move beyond survival and into holistic wellness by integrating interventions that facilitate connection within oneself, with others, and to community, spirit, and the earth. We get to know you as an individual, while attuning to systems within which you live life. Your relationships with community, faith and spirituality will be respected and honoured.
Integrative Psychology Centre was founded by Dr. Dina Buttu, a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist in Ontario whose lived experience as a member of multiple historically marginalized communities informed her vision and mission.
Anxiety & Stress Management
Feel Calm. Find Balance. Feel at Ease.
Have you struggled to decrease stress and feel calm in your body? Do you avoid things that make you anxious? Or take on too much even though you know you’re already overstretched? Living with high stress and anxiety can take its toll on both your mental and physical wellbeing. Your anxiety is a sign that something is out of balance. Psychotherapy can help you reduce your anxiety levels and learn to better manage stress.
Bicultural Stress
Resolve confusion. Find inner acceptance and a sense of belonging. Be Authentically You.
Have you felt confused about apparently conflicting parts of your identity? Have you felt the need to hide parts of you in order to be accepted or get your basic needs met? Has it been tough to find a therapist who gets it? Bicultural stress is a common experience for second-generation children of immigrant parents. Feelings of shame, fear or just a lack of fit with the therapist can make it hard to find support. It is possible to own and embody all of you. Psychotherapy for bicultural stress can help you live more authentically.

Trauma Therapy
Put the trauma behind you and find a sense of calm, safety, and connection.
Have you experienced trauma and finding it difficult to leave it in the past? Are you experiencing high anxiety, numbness or fluctuating between the two? Do you find it difficult to trust and connect to yourself a result of your trauma? Are your relationships impacted? Trauma can have widespread impacts on various parts of your life and it can feel overwhelming to manage. It is absolutely possible to heal and move forward. Trauma therapy with a qualified trauma therapist can help you put the trauma behind you and find a sense of calm, safety, and connection.
Disordered Eating & Body Image
Heal your relationship with food and find a sense of home in your body.
Have you struggled to feel good in your body? Or struggled to enjoy food? Struggles with food and body image are not just about wanting to be thin. Individuals from historically marginalized communities often receive implicit and explicit messaging about their bodies that cause significant harm. We hear negative things about our skin tone (shadism), our hair texture, eye/skin colour, racialized facial features, body shape and stature that make us feel a deep sense of shame and lack of belonging. Psychotherapy can help you unpack and challenge false messaging about your body and help you heal.
